It was part of the collection of Lorenzo Boturini; was confiscated by the viceroy of New Spain, Count of Fuenclara. It remained on file at the Secretaria del Virreinato and then went to the Museo de Antiguedades Mexicanas in Antigua Universidad de Mexico.
