New page

Displays the route and the time of the Aztec or Mexica pilgrimage from Aztlan to the foundation of Mexico-Tenochtitlan.
It was part of the collection of Carlos de Siguenza y Gongora in the 17th century. After his death, it passed to Colegio Maximo de San Pedro y San Pablo, where Lorenzo Boturini acquired it. It was confiscated and deposited in the Palacio Virreinal, where Antonio León y Gama y José Antonio Pichardo studied it and guarded it until 1812. Years later, J. Vicente Sanchez bought the manuscript. In 1840, he gave it to the Museo Nacional de Antropología e Historia, where it was later become "lost". In 1904, it was returned to the Museum by the son of Jose Fernando Ramirez. <ref name="INAH"> http://www.codices.inah.gob.mx/pc/index.php Translated by Samuel Tecpaocelotl Castillo</ref>
