From the Mixtec region it was developed to represent the territory at that time belonged to the lordship of Zacatepec, whose toponym is seen in the center of the canvas. It stood in defense of the population until 1892, when the authorities transferred the document to Mexico City as evidence for land problems. It remained in the archives of the Secretaria de Agricultura y Fomento, until in 1933, it was transferred to the Museo Nacional de Arqueologia, Historia y Etnografia, now Museo Nacional de Antropologia.
