Huixtocihuatl

Huixtocihuatl is the elder sister of the Tlaloque. She was banished by her brothers to the salt beds after she offended and angered them. At the salt beds sh discovered salt - how it existed, how it was formed, how were made the salt jars; and also grains of salt. During the month of Tecuilhuitontli, a women dressed as Huixtocihuatl was sacrificed in her honor. [1]
