Codex Boturini

The famous codex that demostrates the journey from Aztlan to the founding of Tenochtitlan. It was part of the Museo Historico Indiano created by Lorenzo Boturini. It belonged to Carlos de Sigüenza y Góngora and was sheltered in different repositories. In 1823 it left Mexico to join the exhibition of Mexican Antiques in London and, on its return, between 1825 and 1828, it was transferred to the Museo Nacional de Arqueologia, Historia y Etnografia, now Museo Nacional de Antropologia.
